Yong Xia, Ph.D.- Associate research fellow of Tsinghua University, doctoral supervisor

Dr. Xia received his PhD. in solid mechanics from University of Science and Technology of China in 1998. Before that he was majored in Polymer Physics. Dr. Xia went department of mechanical engineering, Massachusetts institute of Technology for academic purpose during 2013-2014. Now he engaged in material, structure, battery crash deformation and failure, Occupant safety analysis research. Dr. Xia led or participated in several projects of National Key R&D Program and The National Natural Science Fund. In the meantime, he also cooperated with GM, Ford, VW, TOYOTA. Dr. Xia published over 100 papers, about 70 of them was collected by SCI and EI. He held more than 10 patents for his innovations both in China and overseas.
